We are looking for an apprentice mechanic for our client in Opmeer. This is a producer of processing and packaging meat products. This involves meat products that are mostly used as toppings. This is supplied to well-known supermarkets and chain shops.
Work
For the technical department, we are looking for future maintenance engineers with a passion for technology and the ambition to grow. As a maintenance engineer, you will be supervised by experienced colleagues and will be responsible for the maintenance of our machinery and technical installations. The aim is to prevent production process downtime and to efficiently remedy malfunctions. You will also learn to work safely and communicate effectively with colleagues.
What will you do?
- Perform both corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting installations and machinery.
- Registering disruptions and statuses for proper handover.
- You will be part of a diverse team of technical specialists with expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering activities.
Working and learning
With us, you can combine working with training. For example, a BBL training programme for mechanical service technicians. We also offer short training courses, such as Electrical Switching, Pneumatics, Maintenance Technology, Mechanical Drive Technology, TIG welding, or NEN 3140. You have plenty of opportunities to expand your knowledge while working.
The technical department works with a flexible weekly schedule: with day and evening shifts and once every four weeks working on a Saturday (with allowance).
