Flexible Human Services has recently joined this initiative to contribute to a more positive image of labor migrants in the Netherlands. The Netherlands cannot do without labor migrants. Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world work in our country to keep the economy running. Companies from various Industries, from logistics to ICT, rely on these valuable workers. Yet, many Dutch people still know little about labor migrants, and there is a lot of ignorance. Moreover, there is mostly talk about labor migrants, but hardly with labor migrants. That is why The Knowledge Center for Labor Migrants launched the independent research panel #sharemyvoice to give labor migrants a voice.
What do labor migrants think about the Netherlands?
Labor migrants are of great importance to the Netherlands. However, their opinions, feelings, and experiences are rarely listened to. As a result, the voice of the labor migrant is not heard. That is why Share My Voice was founded. Share My Voice is an independent research panel that consists entirely of labor migrants. It is a panel by and for labor migrants. Short surveys are conducted among the members of the panel to hear the perspective of labor migrants. This way, we can help companies and governments with new knowledge and better decision-making.

Independent research
Share My Voice is commissioned by Het Kenniscentrum Arbeidsmigranten: an independent foundation focused on developing and collecting knowledge about labor migrants. Research is periodically conducted among the members of the panel, which covers topics such as working conditions, housing, integration, ambitions, and future prospects. With this, we want to better inform citizens, companies, governments, and other parties about labor migrants. This gives them more knowledge, which allows them to make better decisions. For example, other, cheaper forms of housing, more development opportunities at work, and a better image among Dutch people.
